Christ Church Episcopal in Boonville is the oldest Episcopal Church in The Diocese of West Missouri. The church was founded by Bishop Jackson Kemper, Missionary Bishop of Missouri in 1835 with some assistance from Rev. F.F. Peake; and its building was consecrated by Bishop Cicero Hawks, first Bishop of Missouri, in 1846 (making it the oldest Episcopal church building in continuous use west of the Mississippi River and the second oldest Episcopal church in the state after Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis).

Christ Church offers traditional worship according theĀ Book of Common Prayer and offers a rich experience of worship with centuries old liturgies, creeds, and affirmations of ancient faith that have been handed down to us in the 21st century. We believe God wants us to be a welcoming place for you no matter where you are on your journey of faith.
